I have read countless golf books and this is only the second time I have enjoyed a book enough to use my wife's account to post a review. All of the golf related aspects of the book hit home with my love of the game, but it is the people described throughout the book that really make this cross over into the realm of a truly great read. Anyone who enjoys anecdotes and insights about personalities and the various people we all find ourselves dealing with in life, will love this book, not just for those who play golf. I was quietly surprised when I came across and read this book. It’s funny, with good observational humour. This guy is obviously a golf nut!
It is a story of carefreeness. It is a story that makes you feel that anything is possible. It is a story about the optimism of 20 year-olds. Whether you like golf or not, it is an excellent read!!!
I am not a great golf fan, but was curious to know what a caddy felt as he worked in one of the most prestigious golf courses in the USA. Mark certainly hits the spot with many amusing and very wry observations on his time as a caddy.
